Stage Actor in the Making

Ok... I admit I wasn't an attentive in the video. I should have taken the nailclipper from Cayden. But imagine I did, I would have taken these overly exaggerated expressions and emotions. I think Cayden really looks acting - we should send him to speech and drama classes!

Coco The Totoro

The Totoro stuff toy at home belongs to Aunty Yangming and it was a gift from Uncle Ryan. Somehow, Totoro ended up in the hands of Cayden... and he named it after Totoro's brown nose and calls it Coco. In case you are wondering who Totoro is, that's the grey Cat in the drawing below. :)

Cayden enjoys playing with Coco although the toy is obviously too much for him to handle. We were wondering why some stitches on Coco came off and soon, we realised it was the way Cayden handled Coco. Aunty Yangming found out too... but much later. However, the value of kinship fares better than love. Aunty Yangming did not scold Cayden for mishandling the Totoro. GOOD JOB AUNTY! See below on Cayden handling Coco:

Shower Time!

Just before Cayden left for Dubai, he stayed with us over a weekend. I took some photos of him before, during and after shower. I supposed shower really makes a difference and it induces sleep too. :)

Merry Xmas!

Cayden has a Christmas present from Luku. :)

Thank you Aunty Jennifer!

Pressies on the Way...

Uncle Sam and Aunty Linda did some shopping today. Bought more stuff toys from Toys R Us to complete Cayden's barney stuff toy collection. Ha! Actually, the trip to Suntec was meant to get BJ on behalf of Cayden's mum. Uncle Sam decided to buy Baby Bob as well to help Cayden complete the stuff toy set. He said, "This should save us any trips to buy the third toy in case Cayden wants.". I think this makes some sense. :) We headed directly to Aunty (or sister in my standard) FP's place as she would be bringing all the things needed by the folks in Dubai on Sunday night. I had originally planned to get the Mr. Men and Little Missy range of tees from Bossini but they were sold out sooooooo quickly! Sorry Cayden! Aunty Linda has to try harder next time.

Month of Illness & Injury

First he developed an ear infection in which the medication requires him to drip ear drops regularly. Then he accidentally touched his ears (with medication) and rubbed his eyes and he developed allergy in the right eye. By the time he was all well, he went shopping and fell! Poor Cayden!

World Peace!

Irene Ng says:

His New Hat

Cayden turns 21 months today! Based on informants, he was able to say additional words like: shopping, Mr. Ball (aka Mr. Men series), Barney and BJ and Fei Ji (aeroplane in chinese)! We are all so proud of his mini achievements. Haha! Here are some photos taken on 13 November 2008 after his dinner!

There's Something About Those Furnitures

Cayden certainly knows how to enjoy himself by resting on those pieces of chairs at home in Dubai. Check out the photos:

Obviously he enjoys himself very much. Look how he posed in front of the camera. Cayden has certainly developed well in the past month he was away.

Wait a minute.... he needs to know coffee table is not meant for him to sit on... Ooops! :)

Keeping Fit

What is Connoisseur doing? You bet he must be lazing around again....! Actually, apart from his usual weekly multiple rounds of buffet, Cayden finds time to learn keeping fit with Papa. Recently he picked up football too! Here are some photos of Cayden's attempts to do push ups.

His New Friends

Cayden made new friends in Dubai. Mum & Dad took some photos of him showing off his karate kicks to his new friends. He also found someone he could bully... and that's another Honey knowns as Tigger! Cayden refers all dogs to as Honey because Uncle Chris has a golden retriever by the name of Honey in Perth that Cayden couldn't resist riding on it. Haha! Tigger seems like a friendly mini schnauzer who has been and will continue to be nice to Cayden. :)

Enjoying Life in Dubai

They love pratas and naan!

Finally Swam in Dubai

Yes! Mum bought him a wet suit since Cayden is not longer able to fit into the Fox 2-piece swim wear.... He seems to be swimming a little in his new gear but very soon, he will be able to fill in the gaps. :) Connoisseur head seems very big still. Haha!

I personally like this picture very much. Though it's not like a Kate Moss possing for CK or Dior but Cayden is every inch a super model to me. MISS HIM SOOOOOOOOO MUCH! :D

Looks like everyone in Dubai is enjoying themselves. Even Grandma joined in the fun. HUMPF! Does Cayden miss Uncle Sam and Auntie Linda? Haiz.... Something interesting about the beach is the family of camels residing there. Their existence is probably to boost the economy or perhaps to surprise visitors since few people expect any form of wildlife in Dubai. I wonder if these camels miss their relatives living in the desert and they look pretty bored.

On His Way to Dubai

Got the photos from Cayden's Mum. These photos were taken onboard the plane to Dubai on 4 October 2008. The only comment she gave on the set of photos is "check out his meal, quite tasty ! :)". Poor Cayden!

Cayden must have enjoyed the plane ride in his comfortable PJ and bolster!

Seven hours plane ride without nap is impossible. Connoisseur must have felt so tired that he just needed a place to nap.

The tasty airplane meal for kids... BUT check out the next photo: WHY IS THE FOOD ON MUM'S TRAY? Come on! Mum needs to feed Cayden la!

He must have missed Ah Ma and Ah Gong that's how he ended up in the seats opposite the aisle.

Posing (like Uncle Ryan) with Papa!

He Finally Saw Camel...

We had been doing video conference with Cayden over the past week and thank you to whoever who invented this software - GREAT JOB! We saw how Cayden picked up additional vocabularies including Good, Beach, Camel and Swimming. He gets very excited even though he saw the Yakult bottle over video conferencing. Kekeke...

Incidentally, I was doing some spring cleaning at home and I found this:

I really wonder how Cayden's tee ended up in my box of books I brought over from Clementi!

Domestic Violence

I took this video on one of the days Billy called home. Come to think about it, why did I laugh so loudly while taking the video? I should have done something instead right....? BTW, don't you all agree that Cayden has a very big head since birth.

Oh no....

Cayden hasn't been feeling well since he arrived in Dubai in early October. He seems to be suffering from a bout of flu. Last night, he was taken to hospital because no doctor was available to see him late in the night. His fever went on and seems pretty high too. Hope GO THERE gets well soon....

His Latest (Temporary) Squeeze

Everything Cayden does these days is almost about what Barney does in the DVD. In the past months since he started taking a fancy on Barney, Cayden never asked for a Barney soft toy. We concluded that Cayden doesn't like such girlie stuffs. On the second last day that Auntie Janet was around, we all took a quick walk a BHG at Bugis and Cayden refused to let go of the Barney stuff toy. We paid for it eventually. :D
Even when he goes out or takes a nap, Barney follows....... Some may ask: "What about Tortise?". The answer is Kuma the tortise remains his only comfort toy. :)

Walking Up The Stairs Independently!

At 1.25 pm on 8 October 2008, the following MSN message came from Cayden's mum.

Irene Ng says:

just now when we were taking our morning walk downstairs
Irene Ng says:
cayden walked up the stairs independently!

Love-Hate Relationship

According to Cayden's mum, Cayden misses Uncle Sam alot... He has been calling Uncle Sam since he arrived in Dubai! Seeing cars and throughout anytime of the day, he will call for Uncle Sam. The adults are helpless! How did Uncle Sam respond? "Ask him to write me a postcard if he misses me that badly.". I supposed this is what is known as love-hate relationship....Before Cayden left for Dubai, he avoided Uncle Sam at all costs. But now when they are far away from each other, he misses Uncle Sam. Let's see if Cayden will give Uncle Sam a big hug when he returns back to Singapore.

Mimicking Papa & Grandpa

He certainly knows how important it is to read face and body language. Lately, he was scolded because of his attempts to test our patience through many means and ways. Grandpa got angry and so did Papa.... See how much he realise what it means when Grandpa and Papa mean business.

DUMP vs. JUMP!

This question was recently posted to Cayden: "Who taught you to jump on the mattress?". He replied: "Ah Gong!". Grandma and us originally didn't believe because judging at Grandpa's old age, it was not possible that Grandpa demostrated bouncing on the mattress. So we asked Cayden again: "Who taught you jumping?" and his reply remained consistent. True enough. Grandpa was the one encouraging him to jump on the mattress. Each time when Cayden bounced on the bed, he rattles "DUMP". Initially we were puzzled then we realised he meant JUMP! This jumping thrill probably started ages ago and got magnified over the weekend when we were at Vivocity.

He is leaving with grandparents, papa and mama to Dubai for 3 months tomorrow... How we will miss (him *AHEM*) corrections: THEM!

Catching Up With Aunty Janet

Aunty Janet returned to Singapore on Mid Autumn Festival. Cayden hasn't forgotten about this Aunt he met in Australia this April. Grandparents months of efforts in reminding Cayden of this Aunty hasn't been wasted. Those daily reminders and reference to photos probably explained why Cayden allowed Aunty Janet to carry him so fast. Obviously Cayden was happy to have another person who is so willing to accept his commands: "GO THERE!". Here are some photos taken at Bugis the day before Aunty Janet returned to Australia. Look at the expressions from our dear Connoisseur! It's not too difficult to tell that the worrisome Terrible Two infant stage is approaching!

This is what happens when one spends too much time with Cayden... Your energy gets drained! Haha!
