Visit to Chinatown

Poor Cayden, he has been stuck at home for too long and kept asking to go out. So on Saturday, Mom, Uncle Sam and I brought him out for a bus ride on CT28 to Chinatown. He was overjoyed! He couldn't wait to get out of the house and the moment Uncle Sam and I arrived at Clementi, he said "Let's Go!".

The waiting time for bus was relatively long but Cayden found something to entertain himself. He identified the various types of vehicles on the road and even requested to take the MRT which was alittle out of the way for this trip. Finally the bus came and we found a comfortable spot to settle down. He took the window seat.

When we finally arrive at Chinatown, the sunshine greeted Cayden who did not really appreciate it and asked for his hat! Haha! We headed straight to MacDonalds since Uncle Sam and I didn't have our lunch. We ordered a prosperity burger set and guess what? Cayden helped in finishing up the pack of fries and he nearly beat Uncle Sam is taking the last piece of fries. :D

We headed out to the bustling streets where decors, food and drinks are abundant. Cayden saw the paper pineapple decors and went "APPLEPINE!". He has this problem with saying pineapple. We'll correct it soon. :D He couldn't resist smiling and dancing away whenever he hears the Chinese New Year songs blasting away. Uncle Sam taught him to reach up high for the tails of the decors. As the hours ticked and the crowd thickens, it seems tougher to carry Cayden so Uncle Sam decided to have Cayden on his shoulders. Cayden is not game enough. Before Cayden really sat down, he had his legs clasped on Uncle Sam's head. We assured him that the ride will be fine and that's when he relent and tried enjoying the scenaries...

Within 2 minutes, he requested to be come back in Uncle Sam's arms.....

Finally... Hair Cut!

He has not cut his hair since last October. Mom finally convinced him to go for a hair cut on Saturday. We returned to the hair salon for children at Suntec. While waiting for his turn (number 45), we allowed Cayden to sit in the huge toy car which he thoroughly enjoyed! He actually knew he had to insert coin into the machine to make it move and asked Mom for money. *GASP*

The hair cut session didn't go well as planned. He cried especially when he saw bits of hair fell on his hands and palms. :-) He showed us his palms and continued crying. We guessed he didn't like seeing his hands dirty. That's so funny! When that's completed, Uncle Sam took a picture with Cayden *powdered bathed*.

Then we spotted something in his nose.... a huge piece of semi-wet mucus in his nose! We had difficulty getting that piece of mucus out from his nose. Zoom into the picture and see the nostrils!

It was until he fell asleep that grandma stuck her little finger into it and pulled it out! I've told you it's huge... and rather elastic!

Cayden's Back!

He finally arrived back to Singapore on Wednesday 7 Jan 09. :) He's grown thinner but taller and more chatty. His hair is pretty long too because he refused to step into a hair salon. :) One of the things he did after he returned was to open up the present Aunty Jennifer gave him.
