Back to 7th Month!

I was plouging through photos I have taken using my Casio Exlim(s) and became inspired to post up a series of Cayden photos through the months since he arrived. Let's start from about 9 months back when he was just 7-months-old.

Taken at one of Mummy's cousins new born full month celebration. We made Cayden put on Daddy's cap since the cap and Cayden's outfit sort of coordinated. :D
Shrek returns and MacDonalds introduced the Shrek ears headband at $2 each with every purchase. I bought one since I knew Cayden wouldn't be able to remove the headband even if I put it on him.

Cayden's Devil's Thumbprint!!!

Private moments with Uncle Sam.

Cayden in an oversized shirt and pants! He has since fit nicely into the clothes and may likely not be able to fit into this set of clothes very soon.
Aunty Janet (aka PPY) with meatball!

Pouty lips has been Cayden's trademark since he arrived. We wondered whom did he picked this skill from. Cayden obviously hasn't changed much since he arrived. Aunty Linda shall aim to put up more Cayden photos taken in other months. Stay tuned!

Finally Teething & Crawling...!

Cayden is finally teething. The bottom set of two front teeth finally came up and the upper set of two front teeth is popping out too.

We've been feeding him with loads of stuffs to help him pass through this painful teething stage. He's helping himself to Rusks and some baby biscuits. I think Cayden is happier than painful now because he gets to eat. I mean he really eats ALOT and sometimes as much as me for dinner and here's a SMS to attest:

ONN finished 150 ml milk at 8 b4 stroll. Ard 9:15 finished a bowl of banana plum oats, been zzz since 9:45. Already boiled and mash broccoli. Waiting to cook fish porridge and bathe.

Cayden came by to Edelweiss Park last Sunday. We took this opportunity to take a picture of him with a completely full stomach. He is simply adorable and irressistable! Cayden sat unassisted on the couch and had so many cushions around him. I strongly believe Cayden enjoys the environment at Edelweiss. I was totally surprised to realise that Cayden is finally recognizing the environment and the people around him. When Cayden received grandparents at his Serangoon apartment. He acknowledged their existence by blinking his eyes several times and started kicking the air.

When he came over to Edelweiss, he was practically scouting the environment and checking out the furnitures, lamps and walls before acknowledging Sam and me. He was so excited to see the pool and started talking to us about it.

At around 5-ish that day, Mom and Aunties decided to bring Cayden to the playground and pool. I could see the word BLISS written all over his face. We started the walk and spotted a banana tree in the balcony of an apartment in the ground floor. We proceeded to the playground and Cayden rode on a bike, a dinosaur and a 4-seater see saw. I carried Cayden up and down the structures on the playgroun. We do not think Cayden was satisfied with seeing the kids at the playground. We proceeded to the lower deck pool. Cayden completely ignored everyone when his feet was submerged in water. He was so happy! We then brought him up to the upper deck pool where children playground was built into the pool. When Cayden saw the water spurting out from the playground, he went hesterical and started talking non-stop! *CUTE* We went back home with a slightly wet diapers.

Over the past week, I received another surprise that Cayden did his first crawl on 10 October 2007. At 8.32 pm, I've received a SMS from Da that says:

Yeah! Cayden just started crawling woh.
I can't wait to see Cayden today!

Celebrating Mid Autumn Festival

Time flies! I have not been updating this blog for nearly a month and I just have to find time to continue with my updates on Cayden's progress before my memory fails me... Let me start with the Mid Autumn Festival celebration. On 21 Sept 07 at 22:30 hrs, I've received a SMS from Da that read:

He juz got his 1st lantern. We bring him carry lantern on Sunday nite.

Oh boy! Cayden is celebrating Mid Autumn Festival with us this year and he has a lantern. The first thoughts that crossed my mind was "Damned! It must be a battery-operated lantern that comes with some cheesy melody!". I had the opportunity to return to Clementi two days after receiving the SMS and I was delighted to find out that the music coming out from the lantern was not at all cheesy and it was nursery rhyme. PHEW! I was even amused to see how huge the lantern was and my dear Cayden could carry it with one hand. Grandma couldn't help feeling so proud that her grandson grew so strong.

We are proud of Grandma's ability to keep Cayden cubby these while. In fact, a secret recipe in keeping him so round and adorable is a balanced diet. Cayden has been eating a big bowl of porridge everyday (and even everyone says he usually eats more than me most evening).

Over Sunday, Grandma cooked too much of the fish porridge and I was ordered to clear the remaining portion from the pot. Cayden's caregivers always ensure he gets a wide array of food including rice cereal, broccolli, ikan billis, sweet potatoes and fish. The best part after feeding him is to see how big Cayden's stomach grows. It is certainly round and big!
