Mature Look

Oh my.....! I just realised Cayden has just entered into his ninth month yesterday! No wonder he is behaving more and more like an adult each day... Unfortunately Cayden does have the a very mature look too.

Soon Cayden will be attending play schools, primary school... and graduate from University! He'll be apply jobs too. At the rate he is progressing, I am very confident he will go into the Food & Beverage industry. Suddenly I have this urge to do something silly.... a job application letter for Cayden.. :

Editor of Diam Diam Jia Weekly

Dear Sir,

I would like to apply for the Gourmet Critic position available in your esteemed publications "Diam Diam Jia Weekly". I've been eating and drinking since February 2007 and being able to mix pleasure and work has been one of the greatest joy one would ever ask for.

Please find attached a copy of my photo. In the line where a Gourmet Connoisseur is expected to give critics to the food he is trying, the overall presentation of the Critic would be an important as well. I am confident that my looks and level of professionalism would be useful to push the circulation sales of Diam Diam Jia Weekly.

I am contactable via my personal blog at www.connoisseurcayden.blogspot.com.
Looking forward to your response to discuss potential opportunities.

Sincerely,
Cayden Koh

Can't Wait...

Cayden has this impatient side of him and he expresses this emotion by crying. He can't wait for:
  • milk;
  • porridge and cereal to be served;
  • diapers to be changed without lying on his back for too long;
  • water after shower;
  • Daddy & Mummy to carry him when they are back from work and with one feet stepped into the house!
Usually Cayden is pretty mild in temperament and he generally smiles when he sees familiar faces. When we brought him out to Takashimaya on Sunday, there were at least 3 other passerbys could not resist to comment that Cayden is a happy baby. Cayden started laughing and talking to himself when he was at Paragon basement. He was soooooooooo happy when he was in Toys R Us.

We returned back to Clementi after the shopping trip and Cayden was left in my care. I had to put him in playpen on several occasions as I was busy with something. He just started smiling and laughing to himself. He loves standing by himself in the playpen. In time to come, he'll soon attempt to walk and we'll be getting lovely shoes for him. Cant' wait for that day to come soon... :)

No No No...

Cayden picked up a new motor skill and that is shaking his head.

When he rejects anyone, he used to look away and avoid eye contact with anyone. In the past 1 week, he started shaking his head. He shook his head so violent that we were wondering if he did it for fun or he understood the meaning behind shaking his head.

We tested him and asked if he wanted milk before bed, he shook his head because he didn't want to sleep. We tried again and asked he wanted to pacifier, he shook his head and he refused to suck the pacifier even though we have tried putting the pacifier into his mouth.

In conclusion, Cayden understood when he needed to shake his head.

Celebrating Aunty Yang Ming's Birthday

On 21 Oct, Cayden turned 8 months old! Coincidentally, that day happens to be Aunty Yang Ming's birthday and we planned a mini bbq session the day before and had a cake celebration on the actual day. The weekend had been eventful.

Cayden started the Sat with a visit to the ICA for passport application. He had his passport photo taken at ICA and he looks like a school boy! Hehe!

Then we had bbq at Cayden's place. This means Cayden gets to visit the pool and stroll around the estate. He had loads of fun including getting entertained by Uncle Sam who was busy trying to get the fire started at the pit. However, too much fun is not exactly good for children. Cayden could not sleep well that night and w
hen he threw tantrums late into the night, he got scolded by Uncle Sam (for the first time) and kept very quiet then after.

The adults at home actually started to miss the younger Cayden:
1) The younger Cayden who would finish every drop of milk and not cry to ask for more food.

2) The younger Cayden who would not destroy things.

3) The younger Cayden who would not fight or quarrel with Grandparents and Mum.

Finally Teething & Crawling...!

Cayden is finally teething. The bottom set of two front teeth finally came up and the upper set of two front teeth is popping out too.

We've been feeding him with loads of stuffs to help him pass through this painful teething stage. He's helping himself to Rusks and some baby biscuits. I think Cayden is happier than painful now because he gets to eat. I mean he really eats ALOT and sometimes as much as me for dinner and here's a SMS to attest:

Irene HP, 7 Oct 07, 11:07 am
ONN finished 150 ml milk at 8 b4 stroll. Ard 9:15 finished a bowl of banana plum oats, been zzz since 9:45. Already boiled and mash broccoli. Waiting to cook fish porridge and bathe.

Cayden came by to Edelweiss Park last Sunday. We took this opportunity to take a picture of him with a completely full stomach. He is simply adorable and irressistable! Cayden sat unassisted on the couch and had so many cushions around him. I strongly believe Cayden enjoys the environment at Edelweiss. I was totally surprised to realise that Cayden is finally recognizing the environment and the people around him. When Cayden received grandparents at his Serangoon apartment. He acknowledged their existence by blinking his eyes several times and started kicking the air.

When he came over to Edelweiss, he was practically scouting the environment and checking out the furnitures, lamps and walls before acknowledging Sam and me. He was so excited to see the pool and started talking to us about it.

At around 5-ish that day, Mom and Aunties decided to bring Cayden to the playground and pool. I could see the word BLISS written all over his face. We started the walk and spotted a banana tree in the balcony of an apartment in the ground floor. We proceeded to the playground and Cayden rode on a bike, a dinosaur and a 4-seater see saw. I carried Cayden up and down the structures on the playgroun. We do not think Cayden was satisfied with seeing the kids at the playground. We proceeded to the lower deck pool. Cayden completely ignored everyone when his feet was submerged in water. He was so happy! We then brought him up to the upper deck pool where children playground was built into the pool. When Cayden saw the water spurting out from the playground, he went hesterical and started talking non-stop! *CUTE* We went back home with a slightly wet diapers.

Over the past week, I received another surprise that Cayden did his first crawl on 10 October 2007. At 8.32 pm, I've received a SMS from Da that says:

Yeah! Cayden just started crawling woh.
I can't wait to see Cayden today!
